Our HPA material is a 90% alumina class with approximately 15% porosity that is ideal for thermal shock, thermal cycling and extremely high temperatures. We are focused exclusively on high alumina and maintain very tight controls on impurities. Our product has been used in some of the hottest air atmospheres in the marketplace as well as some of the most chemically severe applications in the powder metallurgy industry. Our material can take the heat.
We have developed a version of HPA material specifically for powder metallurgy markets called HPA-CG.
Also available are 95% alumina and 99.5% alumina compositions called HPA-95 and HPA-99, respectively. The typical applications for the 99.5% alumina products are hydrogen and lead atmospheres such as powder metallurgy furnace hot zones and saggers used in the production of piezo ceramics.
